Review CFDI data before assessing deductions
Help me review a table of CFDI data in Mexico. Check the arithmetic supported by the data and identify what is missing to assess tax treatment. Do not present a table review as validation of the original XML files.
Privacy rule: work only with summarized data. Do not request or reproduce tax or personal identifiers, real names, full tax folios, complete documents, addresses, bank accounts, or access data.
INVOICE DATA:
For each invoice, indicate:
1. Which data is consistent and which needs clarification? Do not conclude an expense is deductible solely from CFDI use or business activity.
2. What possible errors appear in the table, and which require reviewing the original XML or checking document status?
3. If a documented Article 69-B lookup is available, what exactly does it show and what needs checking? Do not assume a result when none was supplied.
4. Do subtotal, discounts, taxes, withholdings and total reconcile? Check each tax using its available base and rate or fixed charge; do not assume every tax applies to the full subtotal.
5. What information or support is missing to assess a deduction or VAT credit? Explain each separately and cite the applicable official source when you can verify it.
At the end, generate:
- A summary of amounts reviewed, differences and unresolved cases, without turning them into a definitive deductible total.
- A table by internal ID with the finding, supporting data and next step.
- Questions for my accountant or supplier before modifying, canceling or replacing documents. Do not recommend these actions simply to make the table balance.
